Au Sommet is a partnership between Heidi Barrett, John Schwartz and Jim Barbour and is a Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot blend from our seven acre vineyard on top of Atlas Peak in the acclaimed Napa Valley.

Harvested by blocks on September 16th, 26th & 29th, the Au Sommet 2015 is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot - 100% estate grown, produced and bottled from our 45-acre property. We produced 452 cases, a few dozen 1.5L magnums, and even fewer 5L jeroboams. All of the large format bottles are showcase worthy and hand signed by Heidi Barrett.

This is a dense, rich, inky purple-colored wine that offers earthy almost charcoal ember-like notes with plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit. It is youthful and in need of another several years of bottle age as this is a substantial, full-throttle, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon built for long-term cellaring and should easily last a quarter of a century. This is a beauty and should be respected for such. Forget it for another 4-5 years. Robert Parker 93 points.
