Silverado Vineyards
Silverado Vineyards was one of the first four wineries in the Stags Leap area of Napa Valley who planted
Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1960s.
The winery owns another five legendary vineyards across the top AVA Napa Valley. This "manor" consists of more than 600 acres. A portion of their vineyards are farmed organically, and a high percentage of their vineyards are certified Napa Green (a voluntary program within the county of Napa that focuses on and identifies wineries that utilize environmentally sound farming practices).
For four decades, the Miller family has been making wines from their estate vineyards. In 1981, the winery was taken over by Diane Disney Miller, Walt Disney's daughter (she also founded the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco) and her husband Ron Miller (president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company from 1978-1984).
Silverado produces Estate and Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Chardonnay. Great reputation with wine lovers and collectors’ rests on the shoulders of the Limited Cabernet, made only in the best vintages, and the SOLO Cabernet, the highest expression of Stags Leap District.
