Rewined Candles
Rewined started as a candle company in 2009.
Rewined’s creator, Adam, was working in a restaurant here in Charleston, SC that was known for having the largest Mimosa brunch in town. He saw all of these bottles being discarded and thought, “What could I use these for that would give them a second life”?
He first starting making Rewined Candles in his garage, and selling them door-to-door to retailers in Charleston and at local events and markets. In 2014, almost 400,000 Rewined Candles were hand made and shipped throughout the United States, Canada, UK and Europe.

- Rewined Candles
- Wax: Rewined Candles are crafted using 100% premium soy wax from soybeans grown in the United States. There are multiple benefits of using soy wax including cleaner, longer lasting burn with minimal soot. The environmental impact is less, as soy wax is a sustainably harvested, biodegradable and water soluble.
- Wick: Rewined Candles are crafted using 100% cotton wicks from cotton grown in the United States. There is no lead in these wicks. Wicks are coated with a specific vegetable oil wax to help provide a strong, even burn.
- Fragrance Oil: Rewined Candles are crafted using a carefully designed blend of high quality fragrance and essential oils. Rewined do not solely use essential oils in Rewined candles as they found that using only essential oils caused the fragrance to diminish over time and not smell as strong when burning.
- Burn Time: The signature size candle (11 ounces) has a burn time of 80 hours
Fun Fact: Rewined’s creator, Adam, originally had the thought to repurpose the old bottles into drinking glasses, but decided to try candles because he could not afford the equipment needed to turn the cut glass into barware.
