The 2012 vintage is characterized by a very stable and ideal growing season, which as a result gave ideally ripe grapes for Opus One. The wine has a ruby colour with brick highlights. On the nose and palate, fresh dark fruits and forest undergrowth dominate, complemented by hints of graphite. The wine has very good structure, fresh acidity and silky tannins leading to a long and rich finish.

Opus One 2022 has a deep ruby color with violet reflections. The nose is dominated by aromas of blueberries, blackcurrants, dried flowers, black olives, graphite, and humidor. The palate is full-bodied yet elegant, with notes of dark fruit, cocoa, and tobacco leaf. The wine has firm but ripe tannins, juicy acidity, and a long, structured finish.
