Quintessa
Quintessa Winery is nestled in the eastern part of Rutherford at the foot of the Vaca Mountains. The winery's overall philosophy is to be as respectful of the surrounding landscape as possible, so the winery farms organically and also maintains a large amount of forest on its property. Due to the location of the winery, the vineyards are spread over a very gently hilly landscape, which however gives the oenologists the opportunity to use grapes from different positions, subsoil and microclimates to produce wines. The wines of the Quintessa winery are a harmonious interplay between the landscape and the winemaking craft.
