Peter Michael Winery
It all started in 1975 when Sir Peter Michael tasted one of California's iconic Chateau Montelena Chardonnay wines. That's when he decided to start his own winery and in 1982 he bought a ranch in the lesser-known Knights Valley area. In 1983, he planted his first vineyard, Les Pavots, and in 1987, Peter Michael Winery itself was established. The following year, the first commercial vintage was produced from the Les Pavots vineyard.
