Clos Pegase Winery
Clos Pegase is definitelly one of the most attractive winery in Napa Valley. When you enter by huge stone gate you standing on the ancient greek tale stage, but very modern also. There is a statue of god Dionysus in the corner, known as god of wine. In whole view of winery you can see that owner are lovers of art in general. Tasting room is filled with beautiful pantings, which winery also use for their labels of Hommage wine. Far behind in the cellars there is beautiful part with small podium with statues, big wooden table for events in very cosy and ancient atmosphere.
About the wines, winery is focused on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. Nevertheless winery is in Calistoga, most important vineyards are located down south in cool Carneros. Especially Mitsuko´s vineyard which is planted by old clones of Wente Chardonnay.
