Chateau Montelena Winery
Winery so famous that you have to already heard about it. In 1976 they sent their wines across the ocean to compete with best French wineries.
Everybody was suprised when they won all the line. So this is a story how Bo Barrett and his wines pushed to Europe and put Californian wines on the wine map. This story was used for movie also, name is Bottle Shock where stars guys like Alan Rickman and Chris Pine. We had oportunity to spoke with Bo in Calistoga on Wine and Food event and he tol dus that they still operate in old fashion type of winegrowing and production. We cant forget to mention their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon which is great buy for ageing.
Winery is located in north of Napa Valley in Calistoga and maybe also because the movie is very busy with tourists.
