Located east of Napa, Mt. George Vineyard in Coombsville is the site of one of the first grape plantings in the valley in the 19th century. The deep soils derived from volcanic shale and tufa yield Cabernet Franc with aromas of perfumed fruit and fresh herbs and an elegant palette of refined tannin. Crushed blueberry, plum and cranberry are met with spicy paprika, dried thyme and green tobacco leaf. Broad-shouldered with a dusty cocoa finish.
