A story about wine from two seemingly incompatible varieties. Both varieties originate from France, with the Viognier growing in the Lodi AVA and the Chenin Blanc in the Clarksburg AVA. The blend, which is based 80% on the Chenin Blanc variety, is completely vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the typical characteristics of both varieties. Chenin brings freshness, citrus, orange blossom, while Viognier brings body and stone fruit. Don't be afraid to try this perhaps slightly atypical blend in a bargain package.
