In this wine you can find more then 100 years experience of winegrowing Zinfandel by Mettler family. Grapes came from 50 years old vineyards in Lodi, which is the most famous region for Zinfandel these days. Mettler 2016 Old Vine Zinfandel is wine with lot of personality and shows it wit plenty od aromas and palate. Tempting aroma of plums, strawberries and vanilla is followedby touch of anise. Wine is full bodied with confirmation of previos fruit character finished by hint of tobacco and dark chocolate. There are soft tanins in the end, which makes wines complex and long. Its huge wine but still elegant.
