Dried figs and chewy tannins give the wine a strong backbone, while 18 months of barrel ageing has mellowed this bold wine so much that it can now be enjoyed with cheeses and charcuterie, sirloin steak with grilled vegetables or dark chocolate mousse. Drink over the next 5 to 7 years.
