Once again, de Villiers Vineyard has yielded one of Mt. Harlan’s most luxurious and robust Pinot Noirs, with deep, penetrating flavors of ripe plum, black cherry and cassis. As it unfurls, the wine reveals beautiful underlying complexity, with fine-grained tannins and hints of white pepper, sassafras and cigar box lingering on the finish.

Planted in 1984, at an elevation of 2,200 feet, Mills Vineyard consistently yields a beautifully fragrant, red-berry driven expression of Pinot Noir— and the 2019 is no exception.

On the nose, inviting aromas of jasmine, yellow plum and cherry hard candy beckon a first sip. As the wine unfurls on the palate, the flavors grow deeper and more complex, offering layers of dark cherry, cola and black licorice that glide across soft, round tannins to a lush, lingering finish.
