The grapes from this vineyard yield wines that have firmer tannins and pronounced acidity. This is a wine full of juicy red fruit and cranberry with spicy cinnamon and cocoa flavors. This iconic vineyard provides a great harvest year after year. This is one of the most elegant and refined Pinots in the Patz & Hall portfolio. The 2018 vintage is a bit more robust and rich than usual. The wine is clean and full of red and dark fruit, cherry, currant with a captivating line of spice and rose petal. The palate is layered and long with refined and smooth tannins. Very long and juicy finish.

The 2018 vintage was harvested from fourteen quality vineyards including Dutton Ranch, Sanchietti Vineyard, Gap's Crown Vineyard, Zio Tony Ranch and Durell Vineyard. The wine has enticing aromas of spiced pear, ripe lemon and lime zest. Because this is a cool climate Chardonnay, there is a nice acidity on the palate that gives the wine great freshness, balance and energy. The wine has a very long and complex finish.

Primary aromas of cherry, strawberry, rose blossom and licorice stand out on the nose. Then on the palate, the wine is fuller bodied with lively acidity with a distinct red berry fruit line and a long finish.
