The long growing season of Grenache, which is grown in cooler sites in the coastal region of California, gives the wine a spicy, peppery quality. Cinsault is also added to the blend, giving the wine a distinctive flavour. Wild strawberries, rhubarb, spicy black pepper and tobacco give the wine the peppery quality that is so popular in Cigar.
