Bread & Butter is a project by Napa Valley winemakers who set out to create an everyday Chardonnay without compromising on quality. The name says it all: this is a wine that goes with food as naturally as bread with butter. The grapes come from two distinct regions — Monterey and Carneros — whose combination delivers exceptional complexity for this price point.
The wine opens with a golden colour and subtle green highlights. On the nose, notes of vanilla, almonds and tropical fruit take centre stage — pineapple, peach and ripe citrus. On the palate it is creamy and full, with a pleasant buttery texture and well-balanced acidity that keeps it from feeling heavy. The finish is long, with a gently spiced, toasty quality typical of oak-aged Chardonnay.
