The DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is an example of Paso Robles. The nose is very perfumed, with aromas of black cherry, cassis, plum, desert sage, sandalwood and dusty minerality. Secondary aromas reveal notes of cigar box, leather, bay leaf and black olive. The palate is rich and heavy, offering generous flavors of black raspberry, tangy currant and blueberry compote with hints of Bing cherry, blueberry, fig and baking spice. Ripe, fine-grained tannins lead into a structured finish with long accents of cherry, espresso and vanilla.
