Given the region's geography and typically cooler climate due to a nightly fog layer, Girard tend to achieve a slower ripening rate than in other regions. Wine was aged 11 months in 100% French oak, 35% new. The nose suggests fresh apple pie à la mode while the palate shows the bright acidity and citrus structure that coats the palate. Macintosh apple and Barlet pear with mandarin zest blend with holiday spice on the finish.
