The dark garnet colour of Palermo 2022 with a smoky edge opens with notes of crisp cassis, boysenberry, ripe elderflower chapparal and cedar on the nose. The palate continues many of the aromatic notes with traces of cassis, blackberry, savory spice and thyme. Ripe dark fruit also appears on the palate, as well as complex savoury notes, and the wine finishes with long and soft tannin strings and notes of liquorice, black pepper and star anise.
