The wine is complex, fresh and elegant, with lively acidity and a distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon character that blends perfectly with the black cherry, redcurrant and violet flavours of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Full-bodied, velvety and supple, with a long finish. Dark ruby red colour with a hint of violet. It has an intense bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant and a whiff of persimmon.
Overture is a timeless reflection of the Opus One vineyards. This remarkable terroir is reflected in the complex flavours and especially in the textures of Overture. The blend of batches from different vintages and extended barrel ageing give the wine a supple structure and silky texture.
