Opulent Zinfandel brings blackberry and blueberry notes on the nose along with nutmeg. The palate is fresh and beautifully structured, with serious depth and structure. Early flowering and mild summer weather provided excellent growing conditions. The harvest took place relatively early, within five days in mid-September. Selected blocks of old vines planted between 1896 and 1922 give the wine depth of flavour and texture. The younger vines add intense fruit and zesty acidity. Drink this fine wine over the next ten years.
