Complex aromas of ripe plums, forest floor, black truffle, toast from the barrel and hot coals from the fireplace lead to silky rich flavours of ripe cherries and red plums against a backdrop of smoked meat and dark toasted oak. The acidity plays on the palate throughout, but emerges more on the finish with a touch of fine tannins and a touch of espresso.
