A classic Californian Zinfandel, which after pouring has a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose and palate are dominated by fruity aromas of dark cherry, red plum, vanilla, spice and lavender. All is interspersed with notes of mocha, cloves and white pepper. The wine is full-bodied with sweet and ripe tannins, lively acidity and a very long finish.
Wine pairing
Perfect with a beetroot salad with goat's cheese, garnished with walnuts and pomegranate. It would also be a fantastic accompaniment to a chocolate cake with cherries.
