The wine has a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. The nose and palate are dominated by berry fruits, ripe cherries, cassis and red currants, along with notes of sweet spices, cloves and dark chocolate. The wine has a spicy acidity, firm and ripe tannins and a very long, structured finish.
