The fruit for this remarkable vintage of Avant-Garde Pinot Noir comes from all six vineyards of Domaine Carneros in the hilly Carneros terrain. An exceptionally aromatic wine with aromas of fresh pomegranate followed by a bowl of sweet cherry, red currant, warm oak and cinnamon. The palate presents lush flavors of juicy black cherry and red raspberry with a hint of spicy tobacco leaf with lively acidity.
The wine is fermented in small open tanks and then aged for nine months in Burgundian French oak barrels. The barreling regime of this wine is specially designed to preserve the wine's bright, floral and fruity characteristics.
