One of California’s best-known wine styles, created in the late 1960s by the legendary Robert Mondavi himself. A Sauvignon Blanc aged in oak barrels. The wine has a deep lemon colour with greenish highlights. Both the aroma and flavour are dominated by ripe citrus and tropical fruits. Thanks to barrel ageing, the wine gains in structure and flavour profile. On the palate, the primary aromas are complemented by notes of fresh nuts and minerality. The wine has a lively acidity and a very long, juicy finish.
