Once again, de Villiers Vineyard has yielded one of Mt. Harlan’s most luxurious and robust Pinot Noirs, with deep, penetrating flavors of ripe plum, black cherry and cassis. As it unfurls, the wine reveals beautiful underlying complexity, with fine-grained tannins and hints of white pepper, sassafras and cigar box lingering on the finish.

On the nose, inviting aromas of jasmine, yellow plum and cherry hard candy beckon a first sip. As the wine unfurls on the palate, the flavors grow deeper and more complex, offering layers of dark cherry, cola and black licorice that glide across soft, round tannins to a lush, lingering finish.

The aroma has notes of heather, violet flowers, sweet caramel oak and sandalwood.

The Cannonball Cabernet Sauvignon is dark crimson in color and has dark cherry, caramel, mocha, and wood spice aromas. The taste is of red currant fruit with sweet oak, fresh cherry and dark berry flavors. The mouthfeel starts with a substantial body and has just enough texture and acidity to leave a long and flavorful finish.
