This wine is largely based on the Cabernet Sauvignon variety. Ripe red berries, cassis, violets, leather and cocoa powder dominate on the nose and palate.

This stony vineyard sits directly above Petaluma Gap, making it one of the coolest in the Patz & Hall winery portfolio. The grapes from this vineyard yield wines that have firmer tannins and pronounced acidity. This is a wine full of juicy red fruit and cranberry with spicy cinnamon and cocoa flavors. On the palate it is juicy and very long with an earthy finish. This wine deserves a few years in bottle to develop its full potential.
