Dutton Ranch Chardonnay is a dense, full-bodied wine with notes of ginger, guava, and crème brûlée with roasted almonds and caramel. As this is a cool location within the Russian River Valley, this wine does not lack crisp acidity. This wine is destined for extended bottle age, when it is just able to develop its full potential.

The 2018 vintage was harvested from fourteen quality vineyards including Dutton Ranch, Sanchietti Vineyard, Gap's Crown Vineyard, Zio Tony Ranch and Durell Vineyard. The wine has enticing aromas of spiced pear, ripe lemon and lime zest. Because this is a cool climate Chardonnay, there is a nice acidity on the palate that gives the wine great freshness, balance and energy. The wine has a very long and complex finish.

The grapes are pressed whole and only native yeasts are used for fermentation. The wine is blended on the lees for 10 months, giving it a fuller and more structured character. Apricots, roasted hazelnuts, caramel and meadow flowers dominate on the nose and palate. The wine has strong acidity and a very long elegant finish.

Medium lemon colour with golden highlights. White peaches, lime zest, basil and floral notes of daisies dominate on the nose and palate. The wine is full-bodied with fresh acidity and a very long fruity finish.

The wine has a bright straw-gold color. The nose and palate are dominated by aromas of citrus peel, pear, honeysuckle, white peach, and subtle minerality. Beautifully balanced acidity gives the wine a lively yet elegant character, and the finish is clean and crisp.
