The flagship of the Shafer winery. Wine from the top vineyards of Shafer Winery. The wine has a deep ruby colour. On the nose the wine is intense with dominant notes of dark berry fruit, spice and graphite. On the palate, the wine is structured with expressive notes of mulberries, blackberries and cassis complemented by notes of freshly cut pencil, forest floor and cedar. The wine has firm, ripe tannins, tangy expressive acidity and a very long and spicy finish. A wine that can age very well in bottle.

The wine has a deep ruby color with violet reflections. The nose is dominated by dark berry fruit along with baking spices and herbs. The palate is complex and rich with notes of blackberries, plums, and black cherries along with hints of coffee, sage, and dark chocolate. The wine has firm but ripe tannins, juicy acidity, and a very long, spicy finish.

A wine named after John Shafer's first tractor, the TD-9. The wine has a deep ruby colour with purple highlights. On the nose the wine is intense with notes of dark cherry, blackberry and overripe raspberry, complemented by hints of spice, cedar and humidor. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with aromas of ripe dark fruit, sweet spice and earthy notes of freshly ploughed arable land and forest undergrowth. The wine has firm tannins, juicy acidity and a very long, savoury finish.
