A wine based on the Cabernet Sauvignon variety from the Rutherford region, specifically the Tonella Vineyard. The wine has a deep ruby colour with brick-red reflections. The nose and palate are dominated by dark fruit, along with notes of spice, tobacco leaf, humidor and gravelly minerality. The wine has juicy acidity, firm tannins and a very long mineral finish.

On the nose the wine is intense with dominant notes of dark berry fruit, spice and graphite. On the palate, the wine is structured with expressive notes of mulberries, blackberries and cassis complemented by notes of freshly cut pencil, forest floor and cedar. The wine has firm, ripe tannins, tangy expressive acidity and a very long and spicy finish. A wine that can age very well in bottle.
