Since 1973, when Jack and Dolores Cakebread purchased a few acres of land in Rutherford, this family winery has built a reputation as one of the most reliably elegant and consistently excellent producers of classic Napa Cabernet. The Cakebread Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is precisely the kind of wine you fall in love with from the very first encounter.

Deep ruby color with a rich bouquet of ripe blackberries, boysenberry, dark chocolate, toasted oak and herbal complexity. The wine was blended from special parcels throughout Napa Valley, including the renowned appellations of Rutherford and Oakville, and aged 17 months in French oak barrels. On the palate, supple tannins, fresh acidity and a precise, lingering finish. A blend led by 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, with additions of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah.
